I guess it has become an annual thing… Christmas season rolls around and I end up running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Last year I was having a baby, this year my baby is turning one, my sister got engaged, and the load of teacher work I have is unmeasurable. Christmas is the time of year when I just want to lay under the tree with my toes by the fire and listen to Home Alone on the TV. Instead, I’m using every free second I have to clean my house, chase the baby, or plan Holiday Lessons for school. I have no time to sit down and write… because every time I try to do so, someone or something grabs my attention and pulls me away.
I have so many things to blog about right now too: the super secret proposal Annabelle was a part of this past weekend, Annabelle’s first birthday party details, some AMAZING Etsy shops who sent Annabelle and me goodies, and a few delicious recipes I’ve whipped up in my kitchen.
To calm myself down – I blast Christmas music, count back from 100, and check things off of my To Do list. I picture Elf being his happy special self and I’m brought back to Earth.
What do you do when blogging ends up taking a backseat?
